BWC grants for safety equipment and
drug-free workplaces
The Ohio Bureau of Workers'
Compensation (BWC) announced that it
would award
Ohio employers $4 million in grants
through FY 2009 - $3 million to
assist
employers in purchasing safety
equipment and $1 million to help
employers
implement drug-free workplace
programs. BWC will distribute $1.5
million of
the safety equipment funding to
construction industry and public
employers,
which have been identified as
high-injury industries. For more

MCO Satisfaction
Rating
Each year, BWC conducts a survey of
employers throughout the state to
determine their level of satisfaction
with their MCOs. This year, MCOs have
exceeded expectation receiving the
highest overall employer satisfaction
rate ever. On a scale of 1-5, with 5
being the highest, the overall average
for all MCOs was 4.28.
