1-888-OHIOCOMP sets pace for community service
1-888-OHIOCOMP is a company with a lot of heart for Ohio’s
injured workers and the Greater Cleveland, Ohio community. We
have a long tradition of support for our local communities. We
annually participate in efforts that benefit our environment,
area schools and non-profit organizations.
Each year, 1-888-OHIOCOMP’s managers and employees take
community service to the max as a United Way of Greater
Cleveland Pacesetter organization. Pacesetter organizations
jump-start United Way's annual campaign raising new dollars to
create opportunities to improve the quality of life for all
citizens of the greater Cleveland community.
At 1-888-OHIOCOMP, we’re proud to take a leading role in the
Cleveland-area United Way campaign and serve as an example for
our customers, partners and colleagues.
Service is
serious business
Whether its customer service or community service, at
1-888-OHIOCOMP we take service to the max. Recently,
1-888-OHIOCOMP became a member of the Advisory Committee for
Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio,
Inc. The goal of Goodwill Industries is to improve the quality
of life and employment opportunities for people in the
communities they serve.
At 1-888-OHIOCOMP, we’re committed to the service of our
community and valued customers – Ohio’s injured workers and
their employers. Service is at the core of 1-888-OHIOCOMP’s
business plan, and has been since 1997.
Sponsorship helps fund higher education
1-888-OHIOCOMP is proud to be a corporate sponsor at the annual
Rock-n-Ribs fundraiser benefiting North Central State College.
Proceeds from the event will help fund student scholarships.
The North
Central State College Foundation, through its sponsorship
events, supports the ongoing need for student scholarships,
special programming, facilities and technology enhancements, and
faculty-enrichment opportunities.
Staff
supports community, environment
The employees and management of 1-888-OHIOCOMP have taken
community service to the next level with their repurpose/recycle
program.
Just about
everything useful is recycled. Last year, 1-888-OHIOCOMP
employees and management joined forces and recycled more than 15
tons of paper products; donated computers and printers to RET3
Job Corp for reuse by city schools and non-profit organizations;
contributed aluminum cans to the Animal Protective League; and
toner cartridges to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
The program,
which began in 2003, now manages a variety of efforts that
benefit both the community and the environment. |
